What the CSR Video Is

The CSR Video Challenge is a short storytelling clip featuring your company and nominated Corporate Ambassador. It is uploaded on CSR-World Kenya, screened during the finals, and (where applicable) opened for public voting.

  • Showcased: screened during the Miss Corporate Kenya finals
  • Engagement: eligible for public voting (People’s Choice)

Video Requirements

Length & Format

  • Duration: 2–3 minutes (recommended)
  • Format: MP4
  • Phone video: allowed (stable footage preferred)

Quality & Branding

  • Clear audio (avoid heavy background noise)
  • Company logo visible (opening or closing frame)
  • Simple captions: location + project name

Consent & Integrity

  • Beneficiaries must consent to be filmed
  • Use real footage and honest impact claims
  • Respect dignity of communities shown

Recommended Story Structure (Simple & Strong)

  1. The challenge/problem: What issue are you addressing?
  2. What you did: What action/project did your company implement?
  3. Who benefited: Who gained value and where (people/community)?
  4. Results: Show outcomes (numbers + short testimony/community voice).
  5. Next steps: How will the impact be sustained or expanded?

What to Avoid

  • False or exaggerated impact claims
  • Footage without beneficiary consent
  • Political messaging or campaigning
  • Copyright music or copyrighted TV/radio audio
  • Content that humiliates or exploits communities

Submission Process

Companies submit their CSR details and nomination through the official Company Entry Form. Video submission can be provided via a share link (Google Drive/Dropbox/OneDrive) or upload method communicated by the team.

  • Deadline: to be communicated on the Company Entry Form and confirmation email
  • Confirmation: you will receive an email acknowledging submission and next steps

Voting dates are announced after submissions are confirmed. The voting window is time-bound to ensure fairness.

What Votes Count For

Public voting contributes to recognition such as People’s Choice Award – CSR Clip of the Year, and forms part of the overall scoring where applicable.

CSR Video Awards & Recognition

Every participating company is automatically considered for CSR video recognition. Scoring combines CESRA panel review and public engagement.
