A Story That Touched Us — and Became a Mission

Our priority CSR focus is hunger — especially in primary schools. We partner with stakeholders to support children who cannot afford lunch, yet still show up to class hoping to find at least something to eat. The truth is simple: no child can learn well on an empty stomach.

The challenge grows during holidays. Many children depend heavily on school feeding programs, and when schools close, holiday hunger becomes real. Halima has chosen to stand with these children — not only as a nominee, but as a voice for practical action.

Halima also carries a deeply personal passion: protecting girls from early marriage and FGM within her community — a cause she understands closely, having lived through and witnessed the realities that too many girls face in silence. Her commitment is anchored in practical support: mentorship, safe spaces, education, and community dialogue that helps girls stay in school, stay protected, and keep their futures open.

Halima’s story touched us deeply. It reaffirmed that Miss Corporate Kenya is more than glamour — it is a platform where stories become solutions. Ashley’s Events has incorporated her CSR focus into our mentorship approach to support girls at risk.

Miss Corporate Kenya is produced by Ashley’s Events, with social impact oversight supported through CESRA.
